hornrope Kinetic recovery rope

Kinetic recovery ropes are particularly suitable for recovering stuck vehicles. The rope first stretches and then contracts again.
The horn rope rescue ropes have extra strong loops that have been coated with polyurethane.
Attention: Do not use steel shackles for kinetic rescue!

Please also note our other safety and warning information on kinetic rescue !

Data

  • Breaking load: 12.7 t -> Therefore ONLY use soft shackles with a breaking load of well over 13 t for fastening
  • Working load: 2.5 tons
  • Color: Black
  • Ø x length: 24 mm x 6.5 m
  • Material: polyamide
  • Maximum stretch: 30%
  • Weight: 3.0kg

My opinion

Since many recovery eyes on vehicles very rarely exceed a breaking load of 10 t, even when using a load distribution rope/belt on two recovery eyes, I can only recommend this kinetic rope if you are sure that the anchor points on the vehicle are HIGHER have breaking strength than the rope. It is also important that the soft shackles used have a significantly HIGHER breaking load than the rope. In both cases it can otherwise be life-threatening.

Because kinetic rescue can be very dangerous if everything doesn't fit, I would like to ask you again to pay attention to thewarnings !

KINETIC RECOVERY STRAP/KINETIC RECOVERY ROPE

If a vehicle has gotten stuck in mud, deep mud, a water hole, snow or sand, then a kinetic recovery rope, known in English as a snatch strap, is usually the easiest and fastest recovery solution if there is a second vehicle and it is on a grippy surface underground stands. You will be surprised at how easy it is to recover a vehicle that appears to be completely stuck. Even if rescue using a cable winch is not successful because the winching vehicle moves instead of the vehicle to be rescued due to a lack of stable grip, a kinetic recovery belt is usually the solution. Without elasticity, there is an enormous point load at the recovery points and the risk of damage is very high. However, the anchor points on the vehicle must also be able to withstand the stress of a kinetic rescue - see warning. The use of soft shackles is ideal for rescue with kinetic ropes or belts. As long as there are suitable attachment points for soft shackles (no sharp edges) on the vehicles and the breaking loads of the recovery material used match the respective vehicle weight, we strongly advise against using steel shackles when recovering with kinetic ropes or belts for safety reasons!

Kinetic ropes are also perfect for towing a vehicle that is no longer roadworthy off-road. In contrast to off-road recovery, standard eyelets are also OK when purely towing
